FAQ

We recommend using a laptop or a PC with a cable internet connection, as this provides the best experience.

It’s important to note that a cable connection is preferable to a Wi-Fi connection. The reason for that is that Wi-Fi is less stable than a cable connection. While the connection speed requirements for our virtual classroom are relatively low, your connection needs to be stable, as falling below the minimum at any point may cause interruptions.

If you don’t have the option to use a cable connection, please stay as close as possible to the router. This ensures that your Wi-Fi will maintain a stronger signal and hence minimize the possibility of disconnections while in the room.

Regardless of the type of connection you use, it is best that you close all programs that may use your internet connection. These may include the following:

Skype, Viber, Discord, Whatsapp, Messenger (or similar instant messaging/calling software);
BitTorrent, uTorrent (or similar torrent clients);
Other programs that may take up a great amount of system or connection resources.

It is also advisable to open the virtual classroom in a separate browser window with no other tabs active. It is best to close all other browsers and tabs in order to avoid other tabs using up system resources.

You can enter  Virtual Classroom by following an invitation link. The tutor typically sends one to all participants when opening the room. Alternatively, your tutor may choose to send you the direct link to the room. Either way, you can click the link or copy and paste in a new tab in your browser in order to enter the virtual classroom room.
